ONE WITH NATURE
Trees and clouds extend infinitely into the sleek facades of the mirrored sculpture. Inside and outside are optimally intertwined. Nature moving in and through the building. Landscape and interior are maximally connected. A sculpture in a sculpture garden, was the request of design city Eindhoven. The prize-winning design came from FAAM Architects, resulting in two futuristic nature villas integrated in the green surroundings of Bosrijk.

TWO FUTURISTIC NATURE VILLAS
Two futuristic nature villas with the comfort of an exclusive penthouse. The rooftop terrace with an infinite view of green nature. The view and surroundings are part of living inside. One of the details of an exclusive living experience in a special place in the middle of metropolitan Eindhoven.

PHILOSOPHY BEHIND THE DESIGN
The architects

Outside in is located in the middle of an ecologically based landscape. The surrounding nature is integrated at building level. Roof greenery and façade greenery are part of both mirrored futuristic nature villas. Plant borders border the roof terrace. Nesting boxes, insect hotels and a green wadi support the biodiversity of the surrounding forest chamber.

"With this regenerative sculpture, we won the selection for cluster 20 in Bosrijk, Eindhoven. With this design, we put the experience of the landscape at the centre and create a timeless design for this beautiful location at the entrance to Bosrijk. Gradations of privacy are created in this all-sided double house. Coming home is done in the volume, but the space in which this happens is in direct contact with the public area.

In short, a play of light, air, sight and space. Besides providing a special living experience for people (and animals), these homes have minimal and high-quality installations and deliver a healthy living environment. "

NATURE INCLUSIVE
biodiversity | planters | birdhouses | insect hotels
Nature inclusive building is a form of sustainable construction that involves building and designing in such a way that a structure contributes to local biodiversity. Our green architecture includes planters around the terraces brimming with bird, butterfly and bee-friendly flowers and plants. On the façade of the house will be insect hotels and bird houses. The driveway for the cars is made of recycled material that allows rainwater to pass through. The planters also collect rainwater. The remaining rainwater ends up in the wadi located next to the houses. Nature inclusive building also contributes to the quality of the living environment including the health of residents (living in a green environment produces less stress), tempering the temperature in a city and reducing air pollution in the city.

REGENERATIVE
Regenerative construction picks up where sustainable construction leaves off. Where sustainable building aims to reduce environmental impact, regenerative building delivers improvements to our living environment. For example, a sustainable building may emit less CO2, while a regenerative building even stores CO2. The nature villas are embedded in the landscape. Inside and outside are united: inside is outside and outside is inside. There is also room for sturdy greenery on the roof terraces. With planting that enhances biodiversity

FAAM architects initiates and realizes projects that contribute to the living environment in an innovative way. The projects focus on themes such as social diversity, special target groups and new housing typologies. In addition, contemporary themes on new housing solutions, collective spaces and sustainability play a major role in the design process. FAAM designed these special homes in a special place. Interaction between exterior and interior have been optimally deployed. Creating a special living experience. And adding a special sculpture to Bosrijk.

One of the guiding principles back then was 'the commons'; the public space you share with your surroundings.
