Detached, characteristic living in the popular Schildersbuurt.

The gable stones with several unique natural stone frames, architraves and other ornaments give it away; this beautiful home was built in 1929. The bay window and stained glass windows give the house a beautiful appearance. In the house, the panel doors are preserved and you have a lot of space at your disposal: a spacious L-shaped living room, three bedrooms, bathroom with bathtub and an attic room with dormer. The garden with its own back and bicycle storage makes the picture more than complete. This is a lovely house to live and decorate to your own taste.

The Schildersbuurt is a child friendly and quiet neighborhood on the west side of the Zaan. Just around the corner is a playground and you live a few minutes from Zaanzorg Medical Center. Across the street from the Vincent van Goghweg you will find the Zaanlands Lyceum and athletics club Zaanland. The city center and the train station are only 10 minutes by bike from this cozy, car-free street.

First floor:
Through the path in the front garden you walk to the covered entrance, situated on the left. The hall is a beautiful space with wood paneling, art deco staircase, authentic bell and high ceiling. Left in the hall are the staircase, a storage closet and the neat toilet with hand basin. The approximately 8.30 meters deep living room with spacious bay window breathes atmosphere thanks to the parquet floor, wooden beamed ceiling and stained-glass windows. At the front is the spacious seating area and the left-front is very suitable as a quiet reading, working or study area. At the rear, near the passage to the kitchen, is room for a large dining table. Nice detail are the closets with panel doors on either side of the large window. The kitchen has a corner unit with a black granite countertop. The many upper and lower cabinets offer plenty of storage space and almost all equipment is built in: a gas hob, extractor hood, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and bath boiler.

Second floor:
On the second floor are the landing, laundry room, three bedrooms and the bathroom. Striking elements are the original staircase, panel doors and three large stained-glass windows. The bedrooms at the rear are equipped with fixed (wardrobe) cabinets and the room at the front is now furnished as work / study. On all bedrooms is a pine floor and the master bedroom, located at the rear, has a sink with marble wall plate. Next to the laundry room is the door to the bathroom which fits perfectly into the 1930s atmosphere. The room is arranged with a bathtub/shower combination, second toilet and a sink on column.

Second floor:
There is a staircase equipped with a hatch to the attic room with dormer, which is currently used as a guest and sports room. Also here is a pine floor and behind the door is a storage room, where the central heating boiler hangs and many items can be stored out of sight.

From the kitchen you step into the backyard, situated on the southeast. Wooden fences provide privacy and the garden is fully paved. Because the house has its own (paved) back, the spacious barn is perfect for the placement of various bicycles. The low maintenance front yard with gravel, paving, the authentic wrought iron fence and the attractive entrance door to the alley makes the house more than finished.

The Schildersbuurt has a convenient location in relation to the dynamic city center, the many amenities for young and old and the beautiful nature towards Zaandam and Twiske. From the railway station there are good, fast train connections to Amsterdam and Schiphol. Via the Prins Bernhardbrug you can drive to the A7 within 5 minutes and turn right at the Zaandam junction onto the A8 towards Amsterdam. Parking: In the street is sufficient public parking.
