About the location and the neighbourhood:
The property is located in Oud West, just outside the city centre of Zaandam.
It is a surprisingly quiet area which, due to its location on the water, feels very free. The centre of Zaandam with a wide range of shops, supermarkets and restaurants can be reached in just a few minutes both on foot as well as by bike. All medical facilities (pharmacy, general practice, dentist) are also located within a few minutes of walking or cycling distance. The main train station of Zaandam is a 5-minute walk away, from where there are fast train connections to e.g. Amsterdam Central Station (12 minutes). Amsterdam is so close, that even with the (electric) bike or scooter the city can be reached relatively quickly. In other words, living in Zaandam means enjoying peace, space and a village-like cosiness, but that at a stone's throw from the bustling Amsterdam!

Apartment:
With the lift or through the central staircase, we arrive at the apartment on the first floor. Behind the front door, we find the central entrance hall which provides access to all areas of the apartment, except for the loggia and kitchen, which are accessible from the living room.

The spacious living room enjoys an abundance of natural light, due to the curved walls with an abundance of windows, and the whole is beautifully finished with a wooden floor. From the living room, there is access to the sunny loggia which has double doors with a French balcony. This makes the loggia a real indoor/outdoor space where you can enjoy the sunshine and a beautiful view over the water.
The semi-open kitchen is accessible through an open arch in the living room. Since the dividing wall between the kitchen and the living room is only half-high, a playful vista remains. The modern, U-shaped kitchen features a 6-burner gas stove with a large electric oven, a combi-oven/microwave, a refrigerator, a freezer and a dishwasher.

The apartment has 2 spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom is finished with a wooden floor, the second bedroom with a laminate floor. As in the living room, the round facade with large windows provides a large amount of natural light.

Heb in 2021 meerdere makelaars gesproken om de verkoop van mijn woning te begeleiden. In deze gesprekken kwam Edwin bij mij qua mens en kennis het beste uit de bus. Bij de daadwerkelijke verkoop in 2022 werd alles door hem en Mariken (office manager) adequaat aangepakt. Ook de professioneel gemaakte foto- en video presentatie van Daan mag ik in deze ook niet vergeten.
